Please explain Freud's personality theory and provide examples of id, ego, and super-ego in your explanation.
Freud's personality theory is a the idea that the human psyche, or in other words personality, has more than a single aspect. In this theory, Freud says that the human psyche is divided into three parts (id, ego, and super-ego) and they develop during different stages of our lives. Id is primitive and instinctual and can pertain to things such as sexual and aggressive drives and hidden memories. For example, a person's id may contain the sexual desire for certain individual and acting in a way to achieve a certain sexual goal. Ego is realistic and it provides the bridge between id and super-ego. Super-ego in turn is moral conscience. Taking this into consideration, lets suppose id has a desire to pursue an individual sexually at any means possible. Super-ego will act to tell the individual that they must act with restraint. when approaching the situation, Ego will say that they should pursue the individual sexually but with respect and consideration of the individual.
Please design a well-though out experiment that examines if plant growth is affected by types of music. In doing so, please determine the hypothesis, independent and dependent variables, control, and any variable to control. This activity will help you solidify your use of the scientific method,
Hypothesis: plants growth will be positively affected by classical music. Independent variable: type of music (classical, rock, pop) Dependent variable: plant growth Control: plant exposed to no music Variables to control: same sun exposure, same amount of water provided, same plant type, same time exposure to music
