What are the 5 psychological approaches?
The biological approach examines how the nervous system, hormones and genetic makeup affect an individual's behavior. The psychodynamic approach believes the unconscious and early childhood experiences play a huge role in behavior and development. The cognitive approach believes an individual's behavior is determined by their expectations and emotions. The behavioral approach believes that external stimuli influences behavior and that individuals can be trained to act a certain way. The humanistic approach focuses on fulfilling an individual's needs and goals for self-improvement.
What is the main difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?
Eukaryotic cells contain a nucleus surrounded by a membrane that keeps the DNA separate from the cytoplasm and other organelles inside the cell. Prokarytoic cells do not have a "true" nucleus because their is no nucleic membrane. Instead DNA is located in the nucleoid region in the cytoplasm of a prokarytoic cell.
How does a hyperbole differ from a paradox? Provide an example of each.
A hyperbole is an extremely exaggerated statement while a paradox is a self-contradictory statement. An example of a hyperbole is: the boy runs faster than the wind. An example of a paradox is: "I must be cruel only to be kind." (Hamlet III.IV.181)
