Name three strategies for taking a multiple choice test.
1. Read the questions thoroughly, including all of the answer options. Many students get tripped up when they mark the first likely answer, without reading all of them. 2. If you get stuck on a question, move on and come back to it later. Don't waste valuable time by spending too much time on a single question. Make sure you answer all the questions you know, and then go back to the ones you don't know. 3. Use the process of elimination. When answering a question, first eliminate all of the obviously wrong choices. Beware of choices that include the words "never" or "always." And try not to second guess yourself and change your answer! Many times I've seen students erase a correct answer and choose the wrong one!
Name and briefly describe the three subtypes of ADHD.
Inattentive subtype -- characterized by problems with listening, attention to detail, distraction, forgetfulness, losing things, making careless mistakes, being forgetful, inability to follow directions. Few symptoms of the hyperactive/impulsive type. Hyperactive/impulsive subtype -- characterized by fidgeting, squirming, talking too much, interrupting, running at inappropriate times, always "on the go". Few symptoms of the inattentive subtype. Combined subtype -- has characteristics of both inattentive and hyperactive/impulsive subtypes; most common.

What is a "pre-code" movie? What were the prohibitions listed by the Hays Commission.
A "pre-code" movie is a film produced prior to the enforcement of the Motion Picture Production Code in 1934. The code (also known as the Hays Code) was instituted in response to several lurid Hollywood scandals and increasingly risque content in films. Pre-code films often depicted edgy subject matter such as homosexuality, drug use, and abortion. The list of prohibitions created by the Hays Commission and instituted by the code included profanity, nudity (actual or suggested), illegal drug use, white slavery, interracial relationships, venereal disease, and ridicule of clergy.
