One of the best and most taught ways to organize notes is by utilizing the Cornell method. This method consists of dividing your paper into three sections. The first is about 2-3 inches of the left side of your paper, the right side is about 5-6 inches, and the bottom is about two inches. The far left column is used for after class questions, main ideas, vocabulary, or potential exam questions. The right column is used in class for all of the notes you will be taking. The bottom section is for a summary of your notes that you write after class, this way you can find the main information of those notes quicker later on.
