Timed writing (3 minutes): Choose an object that is in plain sight in the classroom or can be seen outside the window. In three minutes write a complete description of that object (color, shape, size, use). Exchange papers with a classmate and as quickly as possible determine what is the object that is being described.
Answers will vary but must include minimum of four descriptors: color, shape, size, and use.

Group B listen to the song "I am a Rock" by Simon and Garfunkel. In two minutes you will explain the story to your partner. Make sure explain what the artist means by being a rock. Trade transcripts and work out the differences in the two songs.
"Four Wooden Crosses" song summary. The preacher, of course, does not have a cross on the hill. "I am a Rock" song summary. The singer means that he is strong in the relationship and will wait for his love....BUT soon his heart will turn cold and to stone.
