Hello, I have to write a group paper on the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. My portion is going to be on Constantine the Great. Can you help me find a few books on this Emperor?
Hello! I'd be happy to help. What grade are you in? What kind of library access do you have? If your library doesn't carry books on this Emperor, you an also have your local librarian submit and interlibrary loan request for you. Make sure there is no charge before submitting. From my search in WorldCat, there are a ton of books on this Emperor. What we can do with the search results is filter down by how current the book is and we can also review the TOC if available to see how relevant the book is.

I'm researching the LA Race Riots and would like to find some primary resources that can help with my project. I have to do a 30 minute presentation this Friday and I need images or personal narratives that I can use for my powerpoint presentation.
Great topic to do a presentation on. Where have you looked so far? Do you have access to any libraries in your areas? For primary resources, I would search for "LA Race Riots" and "archives" or "La Race Riots" and "primary resources" in Google. The results should lead you to archival collections containing primary sources for your topic. Another thought is going directly to Nationalarchives.gov and run a search on your topic through their database. I would also suggest taking a look at the California State Library and the City of Los Angeles libraries where you can search their catalogs and collections for primary resources on this topic.
I would like to write a paper on gun violence in schools. Where can I find information on the kinds of laws being debated or passed to help protect students and school personnel from mass shootings? Where can I find sources on safety measures, or preventive measures, being taken?
This is an excellent topic to pick! Are you just starting out with your research on this topic? Or have you already gathered a few resources? Do you need print and electronic resources? How long does your paper have to be and when is it due? What library do you have access to? I would advise you to review the following resources to help you with your paper. I would suggest starting with the following: 1. Review any statements or studies the Department of Education has put out on this topic. https://www.ed.gov/ 2. Review the National Education Association website for similar information. http://www.nea.org/ 3. Your local library has the following non-fiction books in print for you to check out.... 4. Also your library has access to this database you can search for journal and newspaper articles.... 5. I would also suggest taking a look at this research guide to help you: https://guides.library.duq.edu/gunviolence/schoolshootings
