Pretend that you get to make one rule that everyone in the world must follow. What rule do you make? Why?
Let's spark creativity. Do not keep yourself in a box, but rather let's try to expand on our thoughts and ideas and then go in to look at strategies on how to make everything connect and sound cohesive.

A baseball league bought 9 boxes of baseballs. Each box contained 36 baseballs. How many baseballs did the league buy?
In order to answer this question we first need to look at the important words in the question. WE are seeing that they "bought" or in other words got or obtained 9 boxes of baseballs. If I draw out nine squares, this could help me visualize the nine boxes of baseballs. If "each" box "contains" 36 baseballs then I need to figure out how many in total did the team buy. If I multiply the 9 boxes by 36 then I will get an answer of 324 baseballs. Make sure to notice that they are asking for the amount of baseballs and not the amount of boxes.
