About Jenny
Hi, in the summers I work for the National Park Service as a Park Ranger, helping visitors from around the world learn more about our amazing public lands. I help them learn everything about the park from the animals that live there to the geology to the history. My background and education (a Bachelor's from the University of Pennsylvania) is in Earth Science and Geology, but due to my career I'm comfortable in a wide range of subjects.

Teaching Experience
I was a teaching assistant for an Introduction to Geology course in 2016, teaching students new material in a recitation (smaller group from the larger lecture) twice a week, as well as helping students one-on-one in office hours with the material from the lecture and from my recitations. I have worked as a park ranger at two different national park units, helping visitors learn about various aspects of the park, both in one-on-one conversations and in guided walks and programs.

Led multiple guided ranger programs, including a geology walk and a narrated cruise. Answered wide range of visitor questions while roving in the park, giving my programs, and working at the Visitor Center. I assisted visitors with information on everything from biology to geology to history.

Answered wide range of visitor questions while roving in the park, giving my programs, and working at the Visitor Center. Taught two recitations of around 30 students each independently each week. The material I taught in the recitations was new to the students and was not covered in the larger lecture.
