About Emmanuel

About Emmanuel
I am currently a fifth-year PhD candidate in a breast cancer laboratory as part of my university's molecular biology graduate program. When I'm not conducting my thesis research, I enjoy fictional writing and weightlifting/powerlifting. I consider myself an amateur historian with interests in both US history and Aztec/Mayan culture. I would appreciate student feedback on my tutoring style since my ultimate goal is to be a teaching faculty.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I first began tutoring for my undergraduate university's writing lab. The lab itself was intended for students for whom English was a second language. After a year, I also tutored other students in science courses, particularly those associated with biology, but also in other subjects such as algebra, psychology, and history. While I now tutor one-on-one with rotating students and summer undergraduates in my lab, I still search for opportunities to teach from middle school to the university level; my ultimate goal is to be a teaching faculty.
