Question:

If Puerto Ricans are American citizens, why can they not vote for Governor of Puerto Rico?

Inactive
Antony M.
Answer:

Because Puerto Rico is a territory and it does not have the same policies as states. Puerto Rican citizens can vote for US president because of its territory status, but Puerto Rican citizens cannot vote for Governor because it is not a state and its commonwealth status prevents outside influence from citizens who are from the island but not living on it.

Question:

Which side was victorious during the Cuban Missile Crisis?

Inactive
Antony M.
Answer:

The Soviet Union was victorious during the Cuban Missile Crisis because they were able to ensure protection over any invasion efforts over Cuba and to remove their Jupiter missiles from Turkey. Although the United States claims victory because the missiles were removed without war, the Soviet Union gained more from the crisis than the United States.
