Question:

What tense of verb is needed in this question when translating to Spanish? After Thanksgiving dinner, I will have eaten 5 dinner rolls.

The future present tense is needed because it has not yet happened, but I am almost 100% sure it will happen. I am explaining a future event that has not taken place yet.

Question:

Name the unconditioned stimulus in the situation below. Ian Pavlov had a group of dogs. When he poured the dogs a bowl of food, the smell of the food caused the dogs to salivate. Pavlov began to ring a bell before he poured the dog food each feeding. After some time, the dogs began to salivate at the sound of the bell, even when food was not poured.

In this situation, the smell of the dog food would be considered the unconditioned stimulus because it elicited a response (salivating) without any conditioning.

Question:

James was shopping for a package of cookies and wanted to decide which package was the better deal. The first package was 20 cookies for \$5.00 and the second package was 40 cookies for \$9.00. Which one is the best price per cookie?

First we will need to find the price per cookie of each package, which we will need to create an equation for. We could use [price per cookie] * [number of cookies] = [total price]. Next, we can plug in what we know to solve the equation. It may be easier to assign a variable to the value we don’t know (price per cookie). Let’s use p. For package one that would be p*20=5. Then we can solve this equation by getting the variable by itself. For this equation, that would mean dividing both sides by 20, leaving you with p=5/20 or p=0.25. So the first package is \$0.25 per cookie. Now, doing the same thing for package two would be p*40=9. To get p by itself, we would divide by 40, so p=9/40 or p=0.225. This means that package two costs \$0.225 per cookie making it the better price.
