Answer:

Micro social work focuses on a one-to-one or group level. This is often seen as more traditional counseling. Macro social work focuses more on larger systemic changes; within an organization, community or large society.

The way I'm studying does not seem to be working for me. What can I do differently?

Answer:

Everyone has different learning styles. Some people are visual learners, some auditory, some verbal and some kinesthetic. Many people learn best in a way that is an overlap of multiple different styles. It is important to understand your learning style in order to best comprehend study material. You may find that your classes are utilizing mostly visual material (Powerpoints etc) but that you understand and remember material best when you take notes. Other people find that they must verbally recite material, or teach it to others to have a fuller understanding. I can help you develop tools for each learning style.
