Work Experience

Work Experience
Rabat American School, Morocco, IBDP Coordinator, Head of English Department and IB teacher
1992 - 2019
This position in an international school in Morocco gave me a wealth of experience teaching high school students of 40+ nationalities which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had a leadership role both as department head and coordinating the International Baccalaureate programme which gave me a very thorough and in depth understanding of the soft skills students need to be critical thinkers and excellent communicators in a challenging global environment.
Costessey High School & Earlham Sixth Form Centre, Norwich, UK, English Teacher
1986 - 1992
In addition to my responsibilities as a high English teacher, including preparing A level students, I administered and computerized the library. I was given further responsibility as co-ordinator of a government initiative (T.V.I.E.) linking education to the workplace, which included organizing whole school “ day events”.
