Answer:

On utilise le verbe "connaitre" en parlant d'un lieu géographique (ville, pays, etc), d'une personne. On utilise le verbe "savoir" pour parler d'une chose qu'on sait faire. Ex: je sais coudre. On utilise aussi "savoir" pour une chose qu'on a mémorisé Ex: l'alphabet On utilise aussi "savoir" lorsqu'on parle d'une chose qu'on peut vérifier. Ex: je sais qu'il a un enfant.

Question:

How do I form a simple yes or no question in English?

Answer:

You can do so by using simple intonation. This is when your voice at the end of the sentence rises to make it sound like a question. You are American. (your voice does not rise at the end- this would be a statement). You are American? your voice would rise at the last syllable (the end) of the question. Of course you can also use an inverted form. This is when you reverse the subject and the verb for a question EX: Are you American?
