Questions
Subject: SAT
What is a formulaic and methodic way to boost your chances of getting into top colleges?
The SAT. I have done SAT tutoring for two years and received a 2330 on my own exam. I gained admission to Yale and Claremont Mckenna College - two schools that have a lower than 10 percent acceptance rate. My success on the SAT was a huge factor in that.
Subject: Psychology
How do we explain our behaviors, underlying attitudes, emotions and desires? Is there empirical evidence for the faculties of the mind?
The field of psychology attempts to explain possibly the most interesting and incomprehensible question we have - human behavior. Through theories and experiments by Freud, Jung, Zimbardo, Skinner etc. we empirically come closer to figuring out both how we approach the world and how we tend to feel about it.
Subject: Algebra
How does the fundamental properties of algebra relate to other necessary subjects of learning? What does algebra do for logical reasoning?
Its often said that algebra is useless and inapplicable to the 'real world.' Algebra, however, offers us operational order, structure, and various routes to answering a single question. Algebra expands the way we see problems as we growingly defy the tendency to box ourselves into a one step, one solution attitude. Instead, we find there are many steps to finding a solution which fosters our creativity and directional logic.
