If a triangle has one 90 degree angle and one angle that is 25 degrees, how many degrees must be in the third angle?
There are 180 degrees in a triangle. If I subtract 90 and 25 from 180, I get 65. So the third angle must be 65 degrees.
Subject: Statistics
What is the interquartile range and what percentage of the data does it represent?
The interquartile range is the third/upper quartile value minus the first/lower quartile value. It represents 50% of the data.

Using the substitution method, solve for x and y given the following equations: y= 2x + 6 3y + x = 30
When using the substitution method, you must make sure you have an isolated variable in at least one of your equations. Then, you can substitute everything that that variable equals into the other equation wherever you see that variable. In this example, I see that y = 2x + 6, so I can take 2x + 6 and substitute it in place of y in my other equation. Then you just need to follow order of operations and solve for the first variable that you are able to, in this case, x. Once you have solved for x, you can plug that answer in to either of the equations and solve for the other variable, in this case, y. 3(2x +6) = 4 6x + 18 = 30 -18 -18 6x = 12 /6 /6 x = 2 y = 2x + 6 y = 2(2) + 6 y = 4 + 6 y = 10
