The antibody that is responsible for this phenomena is IgG antibodies, these are transferred through the placenta starting at about six months of pregnancy.
There are two proteins that are competing for the active site of an enzyme. Protein one has a much higher binding affinity but there is significantly less protein one than protein two, what protein would you expect to bind the enzymes active site, and why?
I would expect protein one to mind the enzyme because it has a higher binding affinity.
