About Grace
I love to learn, and to share my knowledge with others. My favorite thing is finding a multitude of ways to present information. I also enjoy traveling, rollerblading, and reading in my spare time.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
Teaching Assistant (ongoing, current employment) starting in January 2016. I teach the lab portion of the undergraduate Human Anatomy course at UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham), a large research university with a heavy emphasis on healthcare as a profession. I also teach Extended Study (ES), an open lab where students can ask me questions and get one-on-one tutoring/help with all the resources in the lab. Labs are taught with models as well as human cadavers (dissected by TAs in-house, not shared/loaned with any other departments).

Work Experience

Work Experience
University of Alabama Birmingham, Teaching Assistant
2016 - Present
See above (Teaching Experience). I generally work 3 labs a semester, with 1-4 ES sessions on top of that. Labs are 3 hours long, and the Teaching Assistants lecture for the full 3 hours. ES sessions run all day (M-F) with different TAs present. A typical ES shift is 2-4 hours. I also attend Continuing Education Seminars 3 times a semester, in order to ensure my knowledge is up to date, and to learn and collaborate with other TAs, Doctors, and Professors.
UAB's Center for Biophysical Sciences and Engineering, Lab Assistant
2015 - 2016
Worked as a Lab Assistant in a Research Lab at UAB's CBSE, specializing in biological sciences with a focus in genetics and cellular biology.
