Psychology is a science in the sense that it attempts to study behavior and experience using empirical methods and adhering to the scientific method. It is an applied science since the findings of the researches in psychology always is viewed as a means of understanding and improving the human condition.
Why is the type of measurement important in statistics?
Statistics involve the analysis of data and making sense of the results, however, one needs to be able to determine the correct statistic to use to be able to arrive with the most accurate analysis. For this, the type of measurement of the variable dictates what appropriate statistic should be used.

What is neural firing?
Neural firing is the electrochemical process that facilitates the communication between neurons as it receives and sends out information from the receptors to the brain.
