"I need experience to get a job, but I need a job to get experience. Where exactly do I start?"
There are a multitude of ways to gain experience that will allow you to tailor your resume to the industry, dream internship, and/or graduate program that aligns with your passions. With my background in College Career Counseling, I would be more than happy to provide individualized help to answer your questions. :)
A freshman student who says, "I don't need to study for these exams; I never failed a test in high school," is most likely operating under which aspect of egocentrism?
Many of us have been guilty of cramming or assuming we will pass an exam with little to no preparation. Sometimes it works, other times we (literally) fail miserably. Feeling unique and telling ourselves that we are invulnerable (like the student in the scenario) is a commonly shared trait among adolescents and young adults known as a "personal fable".
A couple living together agree to share household responsibilities. Partner A will take charge of purchasing household items and groceries, while Partner B will be responsible for budgeting and pet care. Both partners will split cleaning chores evenly. Which family communication pattern does this scenario demonstrate?
The answer is the "balanced split family communication". While similar to the "equality family communication pattern", the key difference is responsibility is delegated between partners rather than equally shared between partners. Imagine splitting a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza rather than dividing up one single-topping pizza evenly. :)
