Question:

Describe and provide a description of Henry Fuseli's concept "The Sublime".

Suzanne C.
Answer:

Henry Fuseli was an artist who was determined for his viewers to have a strong emotional response elicited from them while exposed to his art. He called the strong emotion that he wished his viewers to feel The Sublime, a feeling of awe and terror. In his painting "The Nightmare" Henry Fuseli captures the Sublime by creating an eerie image of a sleeping woman with a incubus perched upon he chest. There is also a ghostly horse coming into view from behind a curtain on the left hand-side of the painting. This image, that could have easily been just a simple image of a sleeping woman gets turned into an emotional painting by juxtaposing these strange images of the incubus and horse with something so familiar as the sleeping woman.

Question:

Which color mode does a computer monitor use, and which does a printer use?

Answer:

Monitors use the Red, Green, Blue (RGB) color spectrum which uses the mixing of light, which is a subtractive.form of color mixing, to create color. A printer uses ink cartridges in cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (K (CMYK)), this uses an additive form of color mixing which layers pigments rather than light blocking.
