What is two-step authentification?
Good question! Two-step authentication is a safety mechanism put in place by many websites to protect users' data, and verify that the person accessing the account is actually them. A common form of two-step authentification takes place when you try to access your email from a public computer: your email address usually prompts you to provide a phone number verification or answer a security question before the websites allows the password and username to open up the account.
Subject: Library and Information Science
How is a library useful in my research, when the internet now provides access to endless information?
It is true that the internet has brought about a huge advancement in the ability to learn, and libraries have adjusted to progress with the internet. Libraries now offer access to online newspapers and databases that you otherwise would have to pay a subscription service to, and librarians themselves help provide the general public with information about how to find and access sources for validity. In addition, libraries still have print copies of books and magazines for public use. Whatever your need may be, libraries are here to meet your deman.
Subject: Databases
How do I use databases to help write a paper?
Databases are essential for writing research papers in college and for your professional career, and luckily most colleges give students access to databases. You can also generally access databases via your public library. Databases help you write a paper because they provide you with the ability to search for specific topics that pertain to your paper. When using databases, the first step is to find which databases you think will be most useful to you, and the second step is to learn how to create a good search statement in the database which will pull up articles that will be relevant to your paper.
