How do you add negative numbers?
I think the best way to tackle this is think of a number line. Lets say the problem is adding -2 and -3. The answer is -5, but lets use a picture to help |__0___-1___-2___-3___-4___-5___-6___| starting at the -2, we add -3, so we are going to the right on our line. (if we were adding +3, we would go to the left). Hope this picture helps!
I'm having trouble learning how the blood flows through the heart. How can I remember this?
That's a tough one! Lets think of a tool we can use to help you remember. First, the order goes - right atrium, tricuspid valve, right ventricle, pulmonary valve, lungs...then left atrium, bicuspid, left ventricale, aortic valve. first, remember that it goes right to left - just like reading! next, it has to get oxygen before going to the rest of the body - so O2 before the rest of you! the hardest is the valves - lets think of this (RTP) and (LBA) 2 short acronyms to help remember which sides the valves are on!
I'm having trouble getting a double pirouette. How do I improve this?
Pirouettes can be tricky, but with practice you can achieve a beautiful double! Try this, beginning in fourth position, rise to releve and bring your leg to passe as quickly as possible. try balancing for as long as you can - hold your core tight! How is your spotting? A great spot can make all the difference! To work on this, practice turns of any kind while looking at a sticky note on the wall. Eventually, take the sticky note down.
