About Abigail

About Abigail
I'm currently a sophomore at Agnes Scott College, majoring in English Literature and minoring in Ancient Greek. I work as a Peer Advisor at ASC, and spend my free time reading and day-dreaming about the United Kingdom. My favorite novel is Frankenstein.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
As a student at a liberal arts college (a very small one at that), I'm often confronted with situations of teaching. In the classroom, I'm encouraged to share and start discussion by my professors, and outside the classroom, I discuss ideas with my peers and help them study. I've been approached to be a tutor for the Greek courses, and am in the process of becoming a writing and speaking tutor for my college.

Work Experience

Work Experience
Agnes Scott College, Office of Academic Advising
2015 - 2016
As a peer advisor, I help first year students transition from college, academically. I meet with them one on one and in groups to discuss their challenges and help them make adjustments so the experience is easier and more constructive. I also work with the college staff to adjust the new program Summit, which has gained our school national notice. I work often with the office of advising and other peer advisors to adjust the program and facilitate success for all parties.
