Are carbohydrates bad for me?
Carbohydrates are non-essential but it is important to understand context here. Some times energy demands require carbohydrate use. It is important to understand the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates in addition to the role that processed carbohydrates play in the body as well. If you are an active individual from my experience and research I would recommend a certain amount of carbohydrates.

This can be a complex answer and to determine the answer we must first look at lifestyle behaviors of an individual such as activity level, nutrition, sleep and stress management. Generally speaking if you expend more calories per day than what your body needs you will lose weight over time.
