I am having trouble remembering the developmental stages and need help assessing what happens in each.
There are many developmental stages and how many there are depends on the theorist. First we will need to know what theorist you are talking about. Most stages go along with ages. Most psychology courses look at Erikson, piaget, or some other theorist. Age groups include infancy, toddler, Young children, Older children, Teenagers, Young adulthood, middle adulthood, late adulthood.
I am having difficulty with the reading section of the ACT and I think it is holding me back, what are some techniques I can use?
The hardest part of the reading section on the ACT is the timing that you are allowed to take this test. The first thing I would make sure is that if you have any disabilities or limitations that you ensure you have documentation to provide to ACT to allow you adequate time. The second thing I would suggest is practicing ACT questions without being timed. Once you realize you can do the questions without the time it really boosts your confidence. Second I would practice with giving your self time and a half, and the practice again the time. Repeating these types of questions will build your confidence and help you get better at doing them.
What are some classroom management techniques that a future teacher may use?
A couple classroom management techniques a teacher may use include letting students establish guidelines in the classroom such as the classroom rules at the beginning of the year. Modeling ideal behavior and using non-verbal cues to remind students of the behavior. Offering praise to your students both verbal and in incentives can help guide your classroom. Build excitement and enjoyable activities regarding learning. Build relationships with your students that help the feel they are supported. Maintain authority. Look into classroom interventions if you need to.
