Question:

What is a good way to improve in TOEFL writing?

Answer:

I believe that in order to improve in TOEFL writing, you have to familiarize yourself with phrases that are usually use in English Writing. Since you are a foreigner taking the test, your writing needs a lot of correction. Not in your idea development, but in your style and organization. I was struggling with the TOEFL when my writing is just a connection of words together. I got better by learning how to write not only just grammatically correct phrases, but also the native style.

Question:

What are some tips and tricks to do better at SAT Reading and Math?

Answer:

You should never choose an answer because you feel it is right, unless you have no clue at all. If you decide to pick an answer, you must have evidences from the reading text to back it up. If you can't find any evidence, it is usually best to go with your hunch: pick the answer that first pop up in your mind. When you go through a reading, make sure to skim the text first before looking at the question. Then, you should read the question to have a sense of what you should look for in the text. After that, you go back to the reading to find the answer. For math questions, the most important thing is to double-check your answer. Solve the problem forwardly then when you get the result, plug it back in the question to check if it is right. If you can't solve the problem, it is a good idea to plug the answer back in the question 1 by 1 if possible, to figure out the right answer.
