I am a graduating senior at Columbia University, studying anthropology and sustainable development! I am currently working on a thesis on the role of fungi in climate change. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also am an actor, poet and avid reader. I'm originally from Los Angeles, California.

2018 - Present
I work as a consultant at Columbia's Writing Center. I conduct one-on-one consultations with undergraduate students, providing non-evaluative feedback and advice on writing from all disciplines, and am extensively trained in learning and developmental theory and post-processual teaching.
Watershed Agricultural Council, Student Consultant
2019 - 2020
I worked with WAC to collect and analyze data on landowners in the Croton Watershed region, whose private land is responsible for naturally filtering 90% of New York City’s water. I conducted an interview study to assess landowner needs and values, and developed materials to help WAC engage with this subgroup and encourage their environmental stewardship. I collaborated with a team of three other students through the Columbia University Sustainable Development Capstone Class.

As an intern with the office of Sir Alex Halliday, Director of the Earth Institute, I am assisting with the organization and facilitation of a climate task force, called by President Lee Bollinger, with the goal of examining how Columbia can take direct positive environmental action. I worked under Dr. Amy Snipes conducting research on integrated pest management implementation on mushroom farms in central Pennsylvania. We researched about how IPM recommendations can be made to farm workers in a culturally conscious manner, to help workers with implementation, and help potentially reduce pesticides and emissions related to mushroom farming.

Assisted with implementation of free adult education high school equivalency programs. Worked within a non-profit office setting. Managed compliance for students in the program, and created spreadsheets of student results using Excel and Google Sheets. Developed teacher evaluation tools and help with teacher training. Created and researched new curriculum in line with student needs.

I taught children’s/teen’s acting classes. I also directed play production programs. Led dance/movement and voice classes for kids, and managed after-class daycare program. This position also involved hosting children’s birthday parties, and meetingwith parents regarding children’s progress.
