Tutor profile: Anthony H.
Chemistry and Math tutor for over 10 years
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Chemistry with an emphasis in Chemical Education. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with a 3.6 GPA. I have tutored chemistry for three years at university. On average those who I tutor have rated they improved 1.5 letter grades.
I provide tutoring services for students who are struggling in chemistry and algebra 1/2. Typically my lessons start with a conversation to understand where the student is struggling, to help me evaluate where improvement is needed. Once this is determined I focus on what is happening in their class or what they want to focus on specifically. My goal is to help students not only understand how to do their homework and the application but to understand some of the basic theory behind what they're learning.
