I'm having a hard time with run-on sentences. Any help?
Try and read the sentence out loud, or have someone read the sentence to you. A lot of the time you will find good points for punctuation simply by hearing the sentence rather than seeing it.
I have a new piece of music. What's the best way to start learning it?
Start with the stats of the piece: key signature, time signature, form, any changes during the piece. Look for any tricky rhythms and figure those out next. Third, work through learning the note names through the piece. Use the good technique you are learning on your instrument. Listen to several recordings of your new piece to get ideas from other musicians. Then keep practicing!
How would I go about organizing a persuasive speech?
First, develop your argument sentence. Then based on your argument, create an outline for each paragraph: Introduction, Importance, Problem, Solution, and Conclusion. After that you're ready to begin your research and find materials to support your argument. In your Intro and Conclusion, help the reader by introducing and reviewing your outline.
