About Kirsten
I have been tutoring since college, where I began my tutoring journey as an ESL tutor in Taiwan for middle school and preschool children. I carried my love of teaching reading and writing to Books for Charity, where I created and ran a literacy program for children and adults. My masters degree in mental health counseling provided me with the training and expertise I needed to help understand the behaviors of struggling students and to create effective interventions to enable learning for all skill levels. This experience has translated well...

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I began teaching when I was a college student earning my degree in Chinese language. In Taiwan, I taught children English. Since then, I was able to help people of all ages through Books for Charity with their reading and writing skills. I moved all of my efforts online, where I have been tutoring with two major online tutoring companies.
