I am currently attending West Virginia University, where I am working towards a bachelors degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources. I am a very friendly and outgoing person, and easy to get along with. I am fairly confident in most areas of study, especially the sciences. I have experience teaching and leading peers from my experience in Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
I am a dedicated college student, who puts lots of effort into knowing my material. I have helped tutor many friends in my three semesters of college, and led many study groups. I have also taught many elementary aged kids in Project M.O.R.E. (details listed in Work Experience).
2015 - Present
I collect field samples (Brook Trout data) from streams, and process them in the lab.
Front Desk Assistant - WVU
2014 - 2015
I was the front desk student worker at one of the freshman dorms. I helped answer questions freshman had, assigned temporary keys, and was the greeter as guests arrived.
Norton High School
2012 - 2014
I volunteered for Project M.O.R.E., which is a program to teach Elementary school children with learning disabilities (or students below the average reading level) to tutor writing, reading, and spelling. By the end of the program, all the students were able to keep up with their peers on a normal level.
