Heyyo, my name is Jude and I am from Northwest Indiana. I am rising senior studying astrophysics, computer science (AI and Data Science Concentrations), and mathematics. For 1 year I have been helping teach undergraduates in an Introduction to python course. I work on research that pertains to unlocking the inner mechanics of stars that govern the amount of lithium that a star contains.

My job was to teach an incoming freshman how to use particular functions in IRAF(Image Reduction and Analysis Facility) in order to manipulate the images of M31 to work with the Novasearch tool created by Frank Morris. To make repetitive steps such as trimming a FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) I created various Astropy programs. The Novasearch tool is used for astronomy education.
