Questions
Subject: Religious Studies
What is something that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all have in common?
All three of these religions are called the "Abrahamic religions", due to Abraham being the father of all of them. His son Isaac was the founder of Judaism (and subsequently Christianity, as that was originally a new sect of Judaism), and his son Ishmael was the founder of Islam.
Subject: World History
How did colonization and imperialism shape the world as we know it today?
Countries such as India, Palestine, and the entire continent of Africa, were all under the control of various European powers at one point. South Africa has a complicated history due to the Dutch settlers who resided there, and much of North Africa belonged to the French. Today, in Algeria, many people speak French. Palestine had much of its land handed to Israel by Britain, because it used to be a mandate of the latter.
Subject: Folklore and Mythology
Did different culture's mythologies impact and influence one another? If so, how did they?
Many of the older civilizations, such as Sumer and Babylon, had myths that influenced later civilizations, and later stories. The story of Tiamat can be compared to Apollo's slaying of Python, and a "Great Flood" can be found in both Greek mythology and in the Bible.
