Subject: Latin
What is a good strategy for translating lengthy sentences or passages in Latin?
I have found that annotation is incredibly helpful for Latin translation. Finding the main verb of a sentence allows you to center your translation and look more strategically for meaning and structure based on a good understanding of Latin grammar.

How do cells become cancerous?
Cancer is a result of DNA damage in cells. This can occur in many different ways, such as exposure to radiation, or even simply by chance. Cells divide rapidly, and a mistake can occur in any of those cell division events. If the mistake in replication allows for the new cell to grow unchecked, this can lead to the development of cancer in the body.
