Question:

At the time, the patriots thought the Tea Party was an important way to demonstrate their unwillingness to bend to the will of the British empire. The tea that was dumped was estimated to value $18,000. Do you think the Boston Tea Party was necessary? Why or why not?

Answer:

I don't think the Boston Tea Party itself was necessary, although I do think it was a good way to show Britain that the colonies were not okay with the way they were being treated. I say it wasn't necessary because there were many things they could have done to prove the same point; this is what makes history what it is. Sometimes it's fair to critique how someone handled a certain situation, but the bottom line is that situation happened. We can choose to learn from it or repeat it.

Answer:

y=3x+60 (fill in value for y) y=300 300=3x+60 (subtract 60 from both sides) 240=3x (divide both sides by 3) 240/3 = 80 x=80 The drama club will have to sell 80 cookies to reach their goal of 300.
