Question:

How can I use the notes I took in class to help study for my exam?

Answer:

There are many ways to help turn the notes that you took in class into an extremely effective way to study for an exam. First, rewrite or retype any notes that you have taken from your lectures. Doing so helps your brain passively remember things you may have missed while taking the notes the first time. After rewriting or retyping your notes, record yourself reading those notes out loud. Listen to the recording a couple of times. If you are a more visual learner, after you rewrite or retype your notes, create small pictures and doodles throughout your notes to help serve as a visual representation of what you have learned.

Question:

Explain the difference between passive and active voice?

Answer:

When using active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action stated by the verb. When using passive voice, the subject of the sentence is acted upon by the verb. While there is no right or wrong way to construct a sentence, choosing to write in active voice is often the clearer and cleaner route.
