About Michaela

About Michaela
Zookeeper by day, tutor by night! I take care of animals great and small of all different taxa, but the best part of my job is teaching others about the animals, their natural histories, biologies, behaviors, and how they fit into their respective ecosystems and niches. I love biology, ecology, all things outdoors, horseback riding, unicycling, running, hiking, and cooking.

I have tutored and been an educator for many years now. I started out tutoring my friends in High School and college, then became a guide in the tropical rainforests of Costa Rica, and have now moved into education within a zoo! I have taught everyone from pre-school to university students to adults and seniors.
