Answer:

Karl Marx wrote The Communist Manifesto to unite the working class. It is written in propaganda form because, like Common Sense for the Revolutionaries in colonial America, it is meant to stir up the working class to a revolution.

Question:

3. The expression, "There's no such thing as a free lunch," implies that a. everyone has to pay for his own lunch. b. the person consuming a good must always pay for it. c. opportunity costs are incurred when resources are used to produce goods and services. d. no one has time for a good lunch anymore.

Answer:

The answer is (c) because any action that is taken by a consumer takes place because that consumer gave up something else. That's what an opportunity cost is: it is the cost associated with what is given up in order to have something else. A free lunch may not cost someone money to purchase the food, but in order to get the free lunch, a person has to give up time spent elsewhere or time that could have been paid at a job, just as an example

Answer:

In order to solve for x, we must isolate polynomials with x, by getting them all on the same side. 1) in order to have all terms with x on one side and all other terms on the other side, we add 5x to both sides: +5x-5x + 20 = 25x+5x simplify: 20 = 30x 2) divide each side by 30 to further isolate x: 20/30=30x/30 simplify: 2/3=(30/30)x any fraction with the same value for the numerator and denominator is equal to one, therefore 30/30=1 (let me know if this part isn't clear and I will give you an additional example) 3) 1x=2/3, x=2/3
