Question:

When would be a good time to start studying for the MCAT?

Deisi W.
Answer:

It really all depends on the person, personally I began studying 4 months in advance and I was able to score a 505. It is important to be honest with yourself and your time to make sure that you have the ability to read and answer practice questions, which I really think is key to being able to do well on the MCAT exam.

Question:

Which atom on the periodic table has the highest electronegativity and why?

Deisi W.
Answer:

The atom with the highest electronegativity would be Fluorine. This is because Fluorine has 5 electrons in its 2p shell making it very close to having a full octet, meaning the atom will do what it can to make sure that it not only does not loose an electron but also that it pulls an electron to make the Fluorine atom more stable.

Question:

Explain the differences between innate and adaptive immunity.

Deisi W.
Answer:

The immune system as a whole has several components, each working together to protect the body from bacteria and viruses that may be harmful to us. We have two main immune system responses, our innate immunity, the one which we are born with, examples being your skin and eyelashes and also adaptive immunity, the one which we acquire with time, an example of this being that two people could never be infected with the same cold virus a second time.
