## Questions

### Subject: Writing

How would we construct a well-crafted thesis?

Generally, the thesis should be placed towards the end of the introductory paragraph. This means that it serves as an introduction to all of your main points in the rest of the paper! In the thesis, you should be laying out the groundwork for each and every body paragraph in your essay. In other words, you're giving yourself and the reader a blueprint to how you will be answering the prompt for the essay you're writing. The thesis is also a place where your main points will be given in a general format, so that you can elaborate accordingly in the following body paragraphs.

### Subject: Basic Math

What is 1/2 + 1/4?

Well, we have two fractions. A fraction is always going to be less than one, so we have to figure out how to add these two in a way that mathematically makes sense. So, first of all, we must make sure that the denominators (I would then point them out), have to be the same! This is just a rule that we must follow in order to get the correct answer! So what we must do is multiply the denominator and numerator by 2, so that it is "mathematically legal". Now we have 2/4 + 1/4. So we then continue to add the numerators, and keep the denominator in tact. So the result is = 3/4. Which is still less than one, but if we want to understand how close it is to the whole number one, we can evaluate it's percentage. The answer would be 75%, which makes sense because 3 is very close to being 4/4 (which is one!)

### Subject: Computer Science (General)

When studying Computer Science, what is ultimately happening between the computer and the human?

The human being is transmitting information to the computer through external devices. This information is in fact a communication that the human created to speak to the computer in order to elicit some sort of expected output. For instance, a human being created Javascript as a programming language to give the computer instructions on how to create web pages. Overall, computer science is the study of theoretical approaches on how the computer works and how we communicate with the computer to create things.
