Kantianism is where you base what you do of off what you think if everyone did that. Ex: (Kantianism) Let's say that you have decided that lying is bad and you do not think that anyone should lie no matter what the circumstances are. Now, let's say you are living in a time where it is illegal in your country to be a certain type of person (Jew, Christian, Gay, etc.) and a stranger, who fell into one of those categories, came to your house and said "The police are after me because I am ..., can I hide in your house?" You say "Of course" because you want to help and think that the law is unjust. A few minutes later the police are at your door asking if you had seen the man who had just asked you to hide him. Based on Kantianism, if you think lying is bad than you have to tell the truth no matter how wrong you think the law is to punish that man for being in one of those groups.
