Question:

What were the five stages of development Freud came up with to explain human development, and the fact that some adults may have fixations on some aspects of their lives? and what possible effects can be seen in adults who have fixations?

Alejandra R.
Answer:

The fave stages are mouth, anal, phallic, latency and genital. The stages mouth, anal and phallic have to be closely watched by parents, otherwise if not properly taught, the child might later on experience fixations such as smoking, over cleanliness or messiness, and sexual insecurities.

Question:

It is known that DNA and RNA are the basic molecules of inheritance. DNA is in the cell's nucleus and it codes for RNA, which will code for proteins in the cytosol. DNA and RNA have differences in their structure, two important ones are DNA has the sugar deoxyribose, RNA has ribose. Another one is DNA has the pyrimidine Thymine that is complementary to Adenine, and RNA has Uracil. What is the main reason why DNA has Thymine instead of Uracil?

Alejandra R.
Answer:

DNA has Thymine instead of Uracil because during DNA proof reading, it is easier to identify Thymine that has a methyl group, instead of Uracil that lacks this methyl group. DNA replication happens at such high rates that it is common for DNA to make many mistakes, the enzyme endonuclease recognizes mismatched bases and replaces them for the correct one. One way endonuclease do this is my scaring for methyl groups, if they are in the correct position matched to the correct base, the base is left. If Uracil is scanned to have no methyl group, then it is replaced by thymine.
