What is the difference quotient and what is it used for?
The difference quotient is (f(x+h)-f(x))/h. It is used in calculus to determine the limit of a given function.
What does the R-squared value measure?
The R-squared value, also known as the coefficient of determination, measures how closely the data is to the fitted regression line.
How do you solve a quadratic equation?
There are three methods for solving a quadratic equation. The first, factoring, will work on all equations, but is the simplest to perform. In addition to factoring, there is also the use of the quadratic formula, or the method of completing the square. The latter two methods will produce the correct solution every time.
