I'm going to concisely pose the argument that I am trying to make and list in simple terms what main topics or points that I will touch on throughout the paper which will be the subjects of my body paragraphs.
In Sylvia Plath's poem, "Metaphors," how is metaphor functioning? What is the leading tenor of the poem?
The poem is a list of metaphors that all reveal different aspects of pregnancy which is what the leading tenor is. Plath uses symbolism and images to signify pregnancy and different qualities and interpretations of the experience of being pregnant.
What do you think is funky about this sentence, grammatically?
It is a sentence fragment because it only has a subject and a verb, but it is missing an object.
