I am a mom, a teacher, a writer and a student. I have a Master’s in Reading Education, a BS in Journalism and I am currently studying to become an ASL Interpreter. I have been learning American Sign Language for the past 9 years, as I began learning when my daughter, who is Deaf, was born. I also work with community organizations to plan programs bring hearing and Deaf people together. Furthermore, I enjoy running, hiking or walking in the woods, writing poetry, creating art, and cooking new recipes.
