Seleccione la mejor respuesta ___ estudiantes disfrutan de las sesiones de tutoría porque pueden trabajar individualmente con los tutores. A) El B) La C) Los D) Este
The correct answer is C. Choices A and B can be eliminated because "estudiantes" indicates that we are talking about multiple students and A and B are used when referring to single people. Choice D may also be eliminated because the translation of "este" is "this" and placing the word "este" within the sentence would not be grammatically correct as it also is in reference to a single object/individual and not multiple students.

Which amino acids are most likely to be found on the surface region of a three-dimensional protein structure?
Hydrophilic amino acids. The exterior surface of the protein is exposed to a liquid (aqueous) environment and amino acids which interact well with water molecules would be very prevalent on the surface. In contrast, the inside of the protein will contain hydrophobic amino acids which do not interact well with the aqueous environment thus they are "hidden" internally or in hydrophobic pockets. Examples of hydrophilic amino acids include charged structures such as aspartic and glutamic acid.

After a genetic code in transcribed through the process of transcription, it will need to be translated into its functional protein form. What are the steps involved in the process immediately after transcription in the nucleus?
Transcription occurs in the nucleus and involved creating an mRNA copy of the existing DNA strand. However, this initial copy in known more specifically as pre-mRNA because it has not yet been prepared for translation into a protein. In order to create a mature mRNA strand, unnecessary regions on the pre-mRNA known as introns will need to spliced out leaving only exons (necessary mRNA) on the mature mRNA. This mature mRNA strand will exit the nucleus and makes its way to the ribosomes where it will be translated into a primary protein structure.
