About Jillian

About Jillian
I recently received my Master's Degree in Library & Information Science from Florida State University, focusing on Youth Services. Previously, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Florida Atlantic University. I have worked in a public library as a Library Associate in Youth Services, and for colleges and universities in Student Services. In my free time, I enjoy blogging about great books for kids and teens, trying all kinds of arts and crafts, and getting out into nature as often as possible.

As an Exam Prep Tutor/Part-Time Teacher, I tutored K-12 students individually and in small groups in reading, math, and study skills. As a Library Associate in Youth Services, I planned, promoted, and presented many educational programs and special events focusing on topics such as early literacy, science, and the arts. I have also worked in many informal education settings, including the Walt Disney World Resort as a Conservation Education Presenter.
