What makes you a great Math teacher?
Math was never my favorite subject growing up because class was all about copying the examples that your teacher wrote on the board and working out the problems in the textbook. I enjoyed teaching math for 8 years because I used more creative approaches to teach my students. I also understood that some of my students still enjoyed the more traditional approach, so I differentiated my instruction to reach all of my students.
Why do you find psychology interesting?
Psychology is my passion. As far back as I can remember, I've always been interested in why the brain works like it does and why people do the things they do. In my free time, I am always reading books on psychology and the human brain. I hold a Certificate in Social and Personality Psychology from Georgia Tech.
Why is education important?
Education may not be the key to happiness, but it definitely is the key to a lot of other things that can provide you with a sense of fulfillment. Most importantly, it opens your eyes to the world and allows you to make your own decisions.
