How do you change the color of a cell?

Highlight the cell or cells you wish to change. In the toolbar, locate the "Fill cell" button, which may be represented with a paint bucket, and click the down arrow. A color menu will appear and you may select either a standard color or click on "More colors..." to open and select a color from the color wheel. If you wish to remove the color from a cell, simply click on the "Fill cell" button and select "No fill."
